Who we are
The Canadian Elevator Industry Educational Program offers Apprenticeship training for field employees covered by Provincial collective agreements negotiated between the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) and their signatory employers.
CEIEP was established in 1967 to provide a training Program to educate and train Elevator Mechanics and Helpers. Through the years, CEIEP has been recognized as the leading training delivery agent in provinces that have apprenticeship programs and recognized as an approved training provider in provinces that require Elevator Mechanics to be licensed in order to perform work on elevating devices.
Our comprehensive training program is provided to the members of the IUEC, who are the highest skilled and trained elevating devices Mechanics and Apprentices, in all of the Building and Construction Trades.
